Say No To Drugs PSA Poster

My topic was about smoking or drugs in general. Smoking is very deadly and it kills thousands of people everyday. People who smoke have a shorter life span compared to those who don't smoke.

I learned that in 2012, 17.1 percent of 12th graders, 10.8 percent 10th graders, and 4.9 percent of 8th graders smoke. It's mind blowing to see such young kids smoking. Smoking is very addicting and it's hard to stop. So this PSA poster is used to help teens stop smoking or convince them not to start smoking.

The interesting facts I used from a drug abuse website can be found here and it was about how 1,200 teens are die from smoking everyday. So many young lives are taken because of a decision they made when they were younger. Kids shouldn't be smoking or taking drugs. They should be out having fun, and living their lives.

My rough sketches and ideas are here:

My finished PSA informs and educates the viewer by showing how much smoking can affect lives. Every time a teen inhales a cigarette, they lessen their lives. They know smoking is bad, and it kills them, however, they still continue to do it.
